Mustard Gas Yellow

Book cover design for Ottoway Vol 2.

Otto was blessed by the god Frey at birth, and having a connection to the spirit of love and youth causes his comrades to be recklessly protective, but his enemies hesitant to kill. Because Edwin and Otto's meeting coincided with Otto's summoning Saint Michael, the same spell that summons Thor, Otto accidentally cursed Edwin with a Thorian pact, which means Edwin has a shield of invincibility as long as he protects someone else, Otto in this case. Is it truly that their spells are intertwined or do they have other, more worldly reasons for their partnership?

I like to write magic in a way that leaves it unclear whether it's canonically real or if it's just a poetic way of describing how things seem.
